The City of Essex Junction is pleased to announce the two finalists for the City Manager position. City Department Heads selected Coralee Holm and Regina Mahony to move forward in the hiring process.
Coralee Holm is currently the Director of Community Engagement & Innovation for the City of South Burlington. She is a member of the senior leadership team and works closely on operations, strategic initiatives, and community engagement. She has been in this role since 2016. Prior to that, Coralee was the Dean of Operations & Advancement at Burlington College, Chief Marketing Officer for Global Classroom, Director of Development & Marketing for Vermont Adult Learning, and Director of Annual Giving & Alumni Relations at Champlain College. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Colby-Sawyer College, an Inbound Marketing Certificate, and is a Certified Financial Manager. Coralee is a founding board member of Vermont Women Leading Government and is a board member for the St. Albans Skating Association.
Regina Mahony is currently the Planning Program Manager for the Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission. She assists the Executive Director in the development of the work program and administration of the organization and leads planning staff in land use, water quality, and energy planning for municipalities. She has been in this role since 2015. Prior to that, Regina was the Senior Planner for the Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission and the Planning Director and Town Planner for the Town of Milton. She has a bachelor’s degree in geography from the University of Maryland – College Park and a master’s of regional planning from the University of Massachusetts. Regina is the chair of the Burlington Community Justice Center’s Community Advisory Board and a member of the Burlington Reparative Board.
The final stages in the hiring process will include an online community forum, meetings with City staff, and an interview with the City Council.
