Brickyard Road Culvert Replacement Project:
Residents who live on South Creek, North Creek, and East Creek will have their water turned off on Wednesday, July 5th, from 8 AM-8 PM. This shut-off is to complete waterline work and is part of the Brickyard Road Culvert Replacement Project. Residents can contact the City Public Works Department at 802-878-6944, option 4, with questions or concerns regarding this project.
Main Street Waterline Replacement Project:
The contractor will be on-site next week, starting Wednesday, July 5th, preparing to start the project. They will be installing signs, protective fencing, and moving equipment to the site. Signs will be placed in the vicinity of Densmore Drive, Brickyard Road, and Main Street. There will also be mobilization activity in the parking lot near the intersection of Main Street and Densmore Drive.
For the period of July 10th to July 12th, the entrance of Densmore Drive from Main Street will be closed to vehicular traffic. This is the starting point of the Main Street Waterline project. A detour will be set up to take vehicles down Brickyard Road and to use Densmore Drive’s other entrance. No driveways will be affected; however, the eastbound lane of Main Street will be closed for approximately 300 feet.
The contractor provides the best prediction of their next work cycle. Please keep in mind that construction is a fluid process, and sometimes plans must change based on weather or conditions found in the field.
