Foraging Skills with Railyard Apothecary at Brownell Library

Meet at the library and take a plant walk to Maple Street Park. Along the way, Nick Cavanaugh from Railroad Apothecary will teach you how to spot common weedy medicinals/edibles like dandelion, burdock and plantain and share information about safe and ethical ways to forage. Open to all ages, this would be a great opportunity for families and intergenerational groups to learn and practice these skills together! Want to meet us at Maple Street? Gather by the main entrance (near the pool) by 2:15pm. This program is inspired by this year's Vermont Read, Gather by Kenneth Cadow, program participants can pick up a free copy of the book.
