Celebrate Green Up Day with Branch Out Burlington & the Essex Junction Tree Advisory Committee!
Want to contribute to making Essex Junction a GREENER community? Join the Essex Junction Tree Advisory as we plant seedlings destined for the streets of our Village.
2019 marks Essex Junction’s first year partnering with Branch Out Burlington to grow seedlings in a shared community nursery. The Essex Junction Tree Advisory Committee will be planting trees in the Burlington Community Nursery that will grace the streets of our communities in a few years! This partnership is an excellent way for Essex Junction to both save money on the costs of tree planting, and get the community involved in tree care.
This is a family-friendly event and children of all ages are welcome (but please leave dogs at home). No experience needed. Refreshments and door prizes will be available. The event takes place rain or shine (but we are hoping for shine).
When: Saturday, May 4, 9 – 11 AM
Where: UVM Horticulture Research Center (on Green Mountain Drive in South Burlington, off Shelburne Road behind IDX (now known as General Electric Health Care). Follow the signs.
