The Essex/Westford Community Bike Fix & Swap is an event hosted by Essex CHIPS and supported by the Essex Junction Bike/Walk Advisory Committee and Essex Junction Recreation and Parks. This event offers an opportunity for youth and their families to donate, swap, or fix their bikes before the ideal summer bike-riding weather hits.
Biking is not only a lot of fun, but great exercise, a convenient way for youth (and everyone) to get around, a cool sport, and an awesome family activity.
During the event, youth and their families can bring in their bikes for a free tune up, grab a bike and tune it up for free, or donate bikes to get a free tune up for others, all at no cost to the community. There's also workshops for youth of all ages throughout the day.
Essex CHIPS will be providing free bike helmets for youth ages 3-18 in partnership with Local Motion!
