On Friday, June 21st, the preliminary (Abstract) 2024 Grand List was filed with the Clerk’s office, in addition, Change of Real Estate Appraisal Notices were mailed to all affected property owners in which there was a change in assessed value and/or a change in homestead/house site value from April 1, 2023 to April 1, 2024. A change in value may be the result of new construction, additions, demolitions, subdivisions, and/or data corrections, therefore, not all properties will have a change in value. For those owners that do not receive a Change of Real Estate Value Notice, the assessed value will not change for 2024.
Once the Grand List is filed with the Clerk’s office, all property owners who feel aggrieved by the action of the Assessor have a right to appeal their assessed value and must submit a grievance letter to the Assessor by 4:00 pm on Friday, July 5th.
Please see the attached “Notice to Taxpayers – Filing the 2024 Preliminary (Abstract) Grand List”.
