A message from the survey organizers:
We are a group of UVM undergraduate students working on our senior capstone community project. We are working in collaboration with the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources (ANR) and the Department of Forests, Parks, and Recreation (FP&R). The project location is a 29-acre parcel of land at 111 West Street in Essex Junction that is owned by FP&R. The ANR Regional office complex is located on this property as well as the Community Garden and Dog Park. While not officially designated as a Vermont State Park or State Forest, this parcel of land functions as a community park and provides open green space in a heavily congested urban area that is dominated by residential and commercial use. Part of our project is to conduct a user survey to see how the public uses and values this land, which will help us gain insight into how to enhance the park.
