The City of Essex Junction is currently seeking dedicated individuals to join the Recreation Advisory Committee. This new Committee will serve as the crucial link between the community of Essex Junction and Essex Junction Recreation and Parks (EJRP), providing valuable insights and guidance in the development and maintenance of parks and recreation services.
The Recreation Advisory Committee will operate in an advisory capacity, offering recommendations to EJRP on matters such as programs, park and facility needs, as well as strategic, capital, and financial planning. Members of the Committee will also play a vital role in assisting at recreation-related community events and actively engaging other community volunteers. The Committee will consist of seven members, including at least one youth representative aged between 13 and 17, who will meet bimonthly, with at least five meetings annually.
