The Village of Essex Junction is proud to announce that Chelsea Mandigo, Stormwater Coordinator/Wastewater Operator, is the 2019 recipient of the Green Mountain Water Environment Association’s Stormwater Award. This award is given annually to an individual for their outstanding performance, education, and significant contributions to the field of stormwater.
Chelsea has worked for the Village since 2012. She is a Grade 5 licensed wastewater operator, a stormwater water quality technician, and a certified stormwater inspector. Chelsea is actively involved in the daily operations of the treatment facility, along with her stormwater responsibilities. She is the co-chair of the Chittenden County Rethink Runoff program, an ongoing awareness and public outreach effort to reduce dirt and pollutants in stormwater runoff in the Lake Champlain Basin.
